Hair Cuts

It is amazing what a simple hair cut can do. Casey got his cut this weekend and he no longer looks like my little baby. He now looks like a very grown up boy.
Pre hair cut.

After the hair cut.

Other than the hair cut our weekend was very low key. Church on Sunday and then spent the rest of the time playing with Legos.

Busy Life

What a busy few days. Starting with the weekend. We went to Eastern Idaho for the Dodge National Curcit Finals Rodeo. We left saturday morning and got home sunday evening, very quick trip but very worth it. Casey loved the animals and all that goes with the time. Nothing cuter than the litte kids on the sheep.
I really enjoying being able to have a night out with my dad and brother, like the old days. Of course Brent and Casey were there which made it all the more fun. Rob, my brother, decided it would be fun to buy Casey a toy gun from Sportsman and the was the highlight of the weekend.

Once home we have been running mad and I am not sure what we have done. Casey had two testing today for his speech. One that was full of questions for him to answer and then one of observations. Hopefully he will quialify for the school preschool program. I would love for him to be around the other kids and get into the routine of school.
One great thing is Casey is now into Legos. Not the big one but the regular size ones. I have loved Legos for a long as I can remember. The last few days we have been building everything under the sun.

Sleep

How can my son survive on such little sleep? I feel like a walking zombie, at least I think I am still walking. For the past couple months now he has been getting up at close to 4:30 each morning and coming into our bed room to wake me up. The little guy knows that if he uses his sweet innocent voice I have a hard time saying no, not that saying no would help but still. You would think he would be going to bed early, no such luck with that. He usually does not fall asleep until about 10:00. We have tried everything to get that to be early but to no avail. And naps are almost not heard of in our household. He just does not see the need to sleep. Thankfully there is coffee and caffeine to keep me from falling right over. But to try and find a silver lining in this thing I am able to get my BSF study done each morning and have a good few minutes alone with the Lord to pray. Two things that I know are a positive way to start the day.

First Post

Lets see just how well I can do with this blogging idea. As you know Brent loves to run and he has gotten me into the sport at well. My first race of the year was on Saturday. It was a short five mile run in downtown Boise. I was pretty happy with my time, if only the weather would have been a little warmer. I also forgot to bring gloves and so I had a couple of times of walking to warm my hands up. All in all it was a good time. The next race I am training for is in May and will be in Ogden Utah. It is a half marathon and hopefully with will go well.

Brent is getting over his sprained ankle, basketball got the better of him a few weeks ago. Thankfully he should be just fine for Boston. That will be a very fun trip, short but fun. I am looking forward to being able to just watch the festivities and not have the nerves that comes with the race.

It is so hard to believe that we are going to have a three year old in just over a month. He is still not talking at the level that he should but things are getting much better. We have a meeting with the school district here in Boise so we can get everything set up for the preschool program. It will be a great thing for him, being able to get around more kids and getting into a routine that will keep him happy.

Not much more to report on in our lives...at least not that I can think of at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to keep people more informed with this blog.
